Newport

Anne's meticulous pile ready for the morning...

...and Adina's pile.

At this point, we probably should have been sleeping.

Ready to run.

With two of my colleagues from work, Juli & Meredith. Meredith probably ran a sub 3:30 - it's her 3rd marathon this year.

Anne, kicking it in for a strong finish.

And the reward - lunch!

It was hot, it was hard, but it was fun. Peter rode the course on his bike, offering encouragement and taking pictures. There were several bikers and it was tempting to knock one off his bike and ride home, but we resisted. We had a great lunch afterward (cilantro) and then headed to the Starlight run/parade. A good day.

  1. Awesome job to all, especially Anne on her first one! I don't know how you guys do it. Thank for the pictures!

  1. Tom

Yes, way to go guys. I can understand the difference in heat on race day. That is such an adjustment that should not be discounted. Even with that though you guys did awesome, so congrats. What an accomplishment!

  1. Love the report! You three are so awesome. What a huge deal to train so hard and then perform in that heat. Way to go! I love the pre-race piles. Wish we could have been there to cheer you on!!!
