Hey family! I thought I (Dave) would post since I have a few minutes. Wow, so what have we been up to?
A couple of weeks ago Adina and I were able to visit Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a Mercer Client Appreciation weekend (dental related). It was a great break from the rain for some steady warm sunshine. We both got sunburned pretty well...that's what you get when you send whiteys like us who haven't seen the sun in 6 months and lay us out underneath the steady onslaught of sun rays in mexico. Good thing I had a hat on and applied sunscreen 3 or 4 times or I would have been scorched! I just got it on the sensitive belly. Adina got it more then I did (finally, I'm not the one that got it the worse). If my head hadn't have been covered, I would have done some serious damage.
We got back on a Sunday night, worked 5 days and left Friday evening for San Mateo, CA. Again, a dental related trip. I had an immediate implant and restorative protocol implant course. Awesome course that really taught how to successfully place implants for the best esthetic and restorative result. Adina and the kids went to Stockton for her sisters (Erin) baby shower and to see all the family. Unfortunately, I was unable to visit there just because of the distance. Saturday night, Brooke and Mike picked up Isaac and took him to a concert, Coheed and Cambria. Isaac had a blast, got down in the mosh pit and crowd surfed to the front. Thanks for taking him M&B, he'll remember that forever. It was a great time for him. I was able to take BART to Oakland to meet up with them for the last hour of the show. Isaac went back down to Carmel with M&B to spend a couple of days with cousins.
Monday, we met them half way in Morgan City to have dinner at Chili's and pick up Isaac. It was too short of a visit, but we had a good time talking and eating. All the cousins had a great time hanging out together. We came back home Tuesday night and have merged right back into the routine.
The sun is shining today, so that is a big improvement. Makes me really look forward to Shasta. CAN'T WAIT! Longing for the warm weather lounging.
Also looking forward to Oyster, Ragnar, HTC and Newport events. It is going to prove to be a busy summer.
I have also joined in on the mentoring/teaching for CEREC in Scottsdale, so I will be traveling down there 4-5 times per year for training.
Besides that, YM Pres. calling keeps me very busy. Adina is going to have a change of responsibility this weekend, so that may be a nice change....we'll see what her new calling is.
Love you all, and can't wait to have everyone so close!
Dave
Wow, I thought we were busy but I don't think your schedule is much different! I'm glad to hear you found the sun. We hope you'll show it to us when we join the dreariness.... although, it's been pouring buckets ALL day as only a tropical island can and I keep thinking it's preparing me to appreciate the steady drizzle of Washington.
