Each year, Discovery Dental sponsors the Stride in Washougal - it benefits the School Foundation. Families come out from the community and there are races for each age group, from 0-99. This year it rained the entire night before - it actually rained up until an hour before registration opened up - but then the rain stopped. Whew.

Discovery Dental booth, which I am happy to report, was buzzing with activity the entire event! Dave gave away terrific S.W.A.G.: pens, chapstick, magnets, floss cards, water bottles...and we also raffled off a "Family Night" basket! People were talking about the items and his entire staff was there to answer questions and help as volunteers!

Dave and his staff

Discovery Dental was the Title Sponsor, which means he gets the prime spot for his booth and they say "Discovery Dental" over the loud speaker about a million times!

Dave also raffles off a Sonicare toothbrush for each of 8 running events -
here is one of the happy winners!

They ask the high school runners to volunteer as 'rabbits' - they stay with each group of kids and make sure no one makes a wrong turn. Isaac helped out with his friends and had a great time.

Though we don't have official numbers yet, it was a great turnout - including excellent representation from the Stinchfield/Olsen/Perry families.

The finish line - each runner gets a finisher's medal

Andrew, Beck, Noah, Melia, McKenzie, Avery and Camie all ran in the Dash - the best event of the day!
It was a great day - it went like clockwork! We had a BBQ afterward at our house and all the kids played outside in the court for hours! We are excited for next year! Thanks to all the family that came out and supported the event - you guys are awesome!
Adina
Very nice breakdown of the events. I thought the photos were great! Wish we could be two families so we could have attended both. We had a wonderful time down in San Diego with Marnie. She was the last to cross the stage so she got an awesome applause and celebratory horns, etc. Glad it all went well and you all had a great time here and at Dave and Adina's. Hope to be in it next year. KnB
